Conor McGregor gasses out because… Legendary MMA coach tells Joe Rogan why he thinks ‘The Notorious’ gets tired

Conor McGregor is undeniably one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time, but the UFC legend is far from invincible, with an esteemed MMA coach explaining why the Irishman often gets tired in his major fights.

‘The Notorious’ is renowned for his ferocious power. But if he can’t finish his opponents early, he typically starts to slow down and often comes unstuck.

Firas Zahabi explains why he thinks Conor McGregor gets tired

At the peak of his powers, Conor McGregor proved himself to be a truly terrifying competitor, rendering his opponents unconscious with his thunderous left hand.

However, as Nate Diaz proved, if you can drag him past the opening round and into the trenches, his aura of invincibility begins to evaporate.

On an episode of the JRE MMA Show, Joe Rogan welcomed Firas Zahabi into his studio to explore the situation a little deeper.

Intrigued by the Irishman’s limited gas tank, he questioned whether poor conditioning or a lack of experience in the later rounds was a factor.

However, the man who has proven his expertise beyond doubt, by training Georges St-Pierre to glory at Tristar Gym, explained that he believes it’s merely down to genetics.

The MMA aficionado claimed: “I think it’s partly genetic. I call it the touch of death; he has that left hand. That touch of death comes at a cost. Where does power come from?
