Reportedly, rapper A$AP Rocky intends to purchase EFL Club Tranmere Rovers.

The 36-year-old is rumored to be a member of an investment group led by famous attorney Joe Tacopina. The group is supposed to include music sensation Rihanna.

Former Trump aide Tacopina has allegedly been in negotiations with the League Two team for more than six months regarding an 80 percent ownership deal valued at £15 million.

Rocky will probably go to Prenton Park games once the agreement is finalized. The planned takeover is seeking regulatory permission from the EFL.

In Sunday’s Bizarre piece, a source informed the Sun, “Rocky is tight with Joe and has committed to the Tranmere bid.” Rocky has intentions to visit after the sale is finished, while Joe has attended Tranmere matches.

There are also rumors that a critically praised documentary modeled after ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ may be in the works.

The Disney+ series chronicles the adventure of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, two Hollywood stars, as they acquire Welsh team Wrexham and propel them into League One.

Tacopina is believed to think Tranmere is underappreciated, therefore giving the team a celebrity backing akin to Wrexham’s would help it change.

“Joe believes he can turn around Tranmere, a well-known club close to Liverpool, by using smart marketing and celebrity endorsement,” the insider stated.

“Perhaps so, with Rocky and others on board.”

Rapper Rocky, real name Rakim Mayers, is parents to two kids with Rihanna: Riot Rose, 15 months old, and RZA, 2 years old.

Tacopina is well known in Italy for owning football teams.

He was a member of the American group that purchased Roma in 2011, but three years later they sold and relocated to Bologna.

After purchasing minnows Venezia and guiding them from the fourth division to the second, he was knighted by the city in just one year.

In 2021, he acquired SPAL, his fourth Italian team. But the team was demoted to the third division the previous year, and they began this season with a three-point deficit due to late tax payments in January and February.

After that, Tacopina received a three-month suspension.
