LSU star Flau’jae Johnson arrived at the 2024 WNBA All-Star Weekend to kickstart Friday’s event. Johnson, who is also pursuing a career in music, performed at Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona, before heading courtside to watch some of the basketball activities unfold.

Johnson was hyped up after her performance, and she was even spotted with Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson during her gig.

After her performance, Johnson was in good spirits when she arrived courtside and even took a few pictures with some fans in the arena. She then cheered on some of the participants during the Skills Challenge and the 3-Point Challenge on the night.

Flau’jae Johnson joined the LSU Tigers ahead of the 2022 college basketball season. She helped the Tigers win the national championship in her first season with the team.

During LSU’s championship-winning season, Johnson averaged 11.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. She was selected for the SEC All-Freshman Team and was also named SEC Freshman of the Year.

During the 2023-24 season, Johnson averaged 14.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. She played a pivotal role for the team as the Tigers reached the Elite Eight, but LSU was eliminated from the NCAA Tournament by the Iowa Hawkeyes.

 

Johnson still has two more years of college eligibility before she can declare for the WNBA draft. Nonetheless, several teams will be keeping close tabs on her development when she decides to go pro.

The 2024 WNBA All-Star Game between USWNT and Team WNBA will tipoff at 8:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, July 20. The highly anticipated matchup will be broadcast on the ABC network.

Johnson’s former LSU teammate, Angel Reese, will team up with Caitlin Clark for Team WNBA after being rivals during their collegiate years. Due to the hype surrounding the contest, many believe that the WNBA All-Star Game will be one of the most-viewed women’s basketball contests this year.
