Caitlin Clark fans are still fuming at the Flagrant 1 that was called on Angel Reese last weekend during the Chicago Sky vs Indiana Fever game. Caitlin Clark offered a stellar performance with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Before the Flagrant 1 was called, Angel Reese made 11 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 assists. The foul she committed on Clark was seen all around the world and Reese’s statements after it went viral as well. Although she has accomplished a lot in her career, there are still those who hate on Angel Reese and always try to put Caitlin Clark aboveher. This is beginning to seem very similar to the rivalry of other athletes that always came with a little flare.

Angel Reese is being pointed out as the new WNBA villain

Is Caitlin Clark better than Angel Reese?

Amongst the critics Angel Reese has, we have Fox Sports Radio’s Doug Gottlieb, who came out against Reese in order to defend Caitlin Clark from criticism. Gottlieb also didn’t appreciate the post-game press conference Angel Reese offered to the public. As part of her comments, Angel Reese said that “some people have a special whistle,” as a way to criticize referees for not being fair to everybody. When he had his chance to speak on Reese’s statements, this is wht Doug said: “If we are going to strip away and start telling the truth, Angel Reese doesn’t exist in the public landscape if not for Caitlin Clark. Clark exists just fine without Angel Reese.”

In terms of long-range shooting, Caitlin Clark does have an advantage over Angel Reese. However, the Chicago Sky rookie has other attributes that Caitlin Clark lacks, such as defensive prowess. No matter where you stand on this debate, we sure are ready to enjoy what has the potential to become the greatest rivalry in WNBA history. Caitlin Clark and Agel Reese arrived to give us the ride of a lifetime, especally to all professional basketball fans.
