For Angel Reese, the past couple weeks have been a whirlwind of upheaval and emotions. From leaving LSU to joining the Chicago Sky in the WNBA, Reese is entering a new chapter in her life and her career as a rookie in pro basketball — with the former “Bayou Barbie” learning the ropes in an all-new city at 21 years old.

That includes finding places to eat and to grow stronger in advance of Reese’s first season with the Sky, where she will team up with college adversary Kamilla Cardoso in an effort to bring another championship to the Windy City. In a new interview, Reese revealed how she’s been eating — and her favorite spot in Chicago so far.

Reese discovering Chicago’s cuisine

Chicago is a city of nearly three million people. It is the setting of the Emmy-winning FX show “The Bear” and is home to a plethora of food options — such as its famous deep-dish pizza. Reese on Tuesday revealed that she enjoys “Chicago-style” pizza, and she is also a fan of the city’s fried chicken — specifically local stalwart Harold’s Chicken Shack.

Reese has been living out of her suitcase since arriving in Chicago as she tries to get settled following two years in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Reese, a self-proclaimed “foodie,” went on to ask her X followers to recommend more places to eat in the city now that she has a Chicago address — although she believes her hometown of Baltimore still has the best chicken anywhere.
