Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese was named the WNBA Rookie of the Month in June.

Reese averaged 14.5 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 32.0 minutes per game throughout 11 contests in June.

The former LSU standout is currently in the midst of a 10-game double-double streak, surpassing two-time MVP Candace Parker for the longest single-season streak in WNBA history.

The Rookie of the Month award has been won by two separate players in the first two months of the season, as Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark previously earned the honor in May.

Reese’s season-long average of 11.4 rebounds per game is the highest mark in the league, just ahead of two-time MVP and reigning Defensive Player of the Year A’ja Wilson. The 22-year-old leads all WNBA players by recording 4.8 offensive rebounds each night, as Seattle Storm forward Ezi Magbegor sits in a distant second place by averaging 2.9 offensive boards per game (via WNBA.com).

While the Sky own the second-worst record in the Eastern Conference at 6-11, Reese and fellow rookie Kamilla Cardoso give the team a bright future. Cardoso is averaging 8.4 points and 7.5 rebounds while shooting 45.7 percent from the field in 11 games.

Reese will attempt to build off her Rookie of the Month award and extend her double-double streak during Chicago’s next game, a matchup with the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. ET.
