The Chiefs’ victory on Sunday paved the way for the team to play in the Super Bowl for the second-straight year, as they are slated to take on the San Francisco 49ers February 11 in Las Vegas, with a massive focus on Swift’s presence at the game.
Swift last Sunday donned a ring that had a replica of Travis’s Chiefs jersey with the number 87, which Donna gave her as a gift. EB and Co., a Kansas City-based business, produced the jewelry.
The company’s owner and creative director Emily Bordner told local ABC affiliate KMBC that Donna had already shown interest in their company’s work, and that she had sent her more Chiefs-themed jewelry with the idea that she would give some to Swift.
‘We gifted Donna some pairs,’ Bordner told the outlet. ‘We know that she loved our earrings. And so, we wanted to gift her even more Kelce-themed products.
She continued: ‘So, we sent those to her and then we were hoping that she would give them to Taylor. And she did.’
Donna at the game donned earrings made by the company that matched Swift’s ring, which circulated on a TikTok post the NFL released.
Bordner said that the massive exposure her company’s product received as result of the Shake It Off singer wearing it has given it a significant boost in business.
‘It’s just been a crazy whirlwind and we’re just trying to take advantage of everything we can and sell as much as we can and show appreciation as much as we can for Donna and Taylor and everybody,’ Bordner told the TV station.
