Travis Kelce‘s Kansas City Chiefs teammate Drue Tranquill thinks the NFL star and Taylor Swift ‘might be in love’.

Swift and Kelce went public with their relationship in late September when the singer went to Arrowhead Stadium for the first time to cheer Kelce and the Chiefs on against the Chicago Bears.

Since then, she has been to 11 Chiefs games and met his parents on the way. Last Sunday, she met his brother Jason for the first time, while Travis travelled to Argentina in his November bye week to see her Eras Show in South America.

Now, with the Chiefs one win away from the Super Bowl – albeit with the Baltimore Ravens standing between them and Vegas – Tranquill was asked about the extra attention on the team this season.

‘It’s interesting,’ Tranquill said. ‘You don’t really feel it and hear too much of it inside the locker room. But it’ll be moments like at practice when our DJ turns on a Taylor Swift song and everybody kind of jokes about it.

Chiefs star Tranquill said he gas enjoyed having Swift at their games this season

Pop star Swift and Chiefs tight end Kelce went public with their relationship in September

‘I hear about it more when I go home than I do actually in the building

‘But it’s been fun, man. That’s something to celebrate, something fun and we enjoy poking fun at Travis. But seems like maybe they’re in love, man.

‘They’ve got really, really something going and we enjoy having her at our games. It brings a lot of energy and a lot of fun to our fans. And so that’s good for business, good for football and good for the NFL.’

Tranquill, speaking on the Zach Gelb show, was then asked if he expects to go to the wedding.

‘We’ll see man, we’ll see. There is going to be a lot of people who want to go to that wedding,’ he said.

Linebacker Tranquill, 28, joined the Chiefs in 2023 after four years at the Chargers and he and his team head to Baltimore for Sunday’s game with Kelce in top form.

He scored two touchdowns in Sunday’s enthralling 27-24 win over the Bills and in the process, combined with Patrick Mahomes to beat a record set by Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski.

Sunday’s two touchdowns mean the Chiefs stars have the most postseason touchdowns by a quarterback and receiver duo in NFL history with a tally of 16 – one more than Brady and Gronk.

‘BEASTS. When you one up gronk you’re doing something right,’ Brady wrote on X in response to a graphic recognizing Mahomes and Kelce’s feat.

Should the Chiefs win at the weekend, they will play San Francsico 49ers or Detroit Lions in the Super Bowl at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on February 11.

And if Kansas City are there, Swift faces a hectic dash back from Japan to make the game. Her first 2024 Eras tour dates are in Tokyo that week, with the last show slated for Saturday night in Japan.
