Kansas City Chiefs Tease Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s ‘Love Story’ in New Playoff Videos: Watch!
In a January episode of Travis’ podcast with his brother, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, the NFL star called the song “a classic” for the team and revealed that it has been a staple to hype up his team since he joined in 2013.
When Jason Kelce asked about the meaning of the track, the tight end, 34, said it’s “a huge fourth quarter, big time moment,” and often soundtracks an important defensive drive. “They play a highlight video that has ‘Swag Surfin’ on it as the song and it gets everybody hype.”
The brothers also brought up a video from the Chiefs New Year’s Eve game where linebacker Willie Gay Jr. suggested the song play to get attendees excited, and once it started, he and his teammates began dancing on the sidelines with the crowd, and the mood immediately shifted.
