Watch: Travis Kelce Reveals How His Relationship With Taylor Swift Has Impacted Pop Culture

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship has taken their respective careers into New Heights.

On the Wednesday, April 10, episode of Travis and brother Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast, guest Lil Dicky couldn’t help but ask how the hosts were handling the influx of Swift fans since the pop star and Kansas City Chiefs tight end began dating last summer.

While Jason noted that “it hasn’t changed that much for me,” Travis was quick to chime in with all the positivity Swift’s fans have brought.

“It’s fun, man. I’m having a blast in life, baby. Just flyin’ high. Enjoying it all,” he shared. “Bringing new lives to the football world, and opening the football world up to new things as well.”

While Travis admitted on Wednesday’s show that even he didn’t “know how I [dated Taylor] because … she was not into sports,” their bond was so strong that Swift quickly became a staple at nearly all Chiefs games last season, from her first game at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium in September 2023 all the way through the Chiefs’ 2024 Super Bowl win in February. And with Swift’s star power and blatant enthusiasm came the Swifties.

In addition to viral moments like “Seemingly Ranch” — an actual Heinz condiment based on a tweet from a Swift fan account describing the singer’s preferred chicken finger dipping sauce at one of Travis’ games — the pop star has increased the Chiefs and NFL brand value by millions: $331.5 million to be exact, according to Apex Marketing.

Travis, meanwhile, has not only traveled all around the world to support Swift on her pop culture juggernaut Eras Tour, but he’s also made an impact on her music — most notably her “Karma” lyric change. Instead of singing the lyric as written (about ex Joe Alwyn): “Karma is the guy on the screen,” she’s sung “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs” at multiple shows.

Lil Dicky, for his part, is totally on board with Swift and Travis’ romance, explaining on New Heights that it reminded him of “high school” — in the best way possible.

“Honestly, I love it. … Most popular pop star, beloved musician, somehow met like, your most popular beloved athlete, and they actually fell in love and like, it’s just real. There’s something so American about it … there’s something so classic about it.”
