Leading the Houston Texans to the playoffs’ conference title game, while holding the AFC North title, Stroud has become a sensation in the sports industry.
Not just that, he was the first rookie ever to be included in the NFL MVP list and made the Texans a real Super Bowl contender. As the Rookie of the Year awaits the upcoming season, he seems to be reaping the reward of his success.
The star quarterback was invited to throw the ceremonial first pitch to kick-start the season for his home MLB team, the Houston Astros against the Atlanta Braves at Minute Maid Park. Chandler Rome of The Athletic reported the news first on his X handle.

Stroud, who is known for his impressive arm strength and accuracy, threw a perfect strike to the pitcher. The whole stadium cheered altogether as they celebrated the quarterback for keeping up the tradition of the Astros’ impressive first pitches.
Interestingly, this wasn’t Stroud’s first time at Minute Maid Park. Last fall, he was invited alongside fellow rookie defensive standout Will Anderson Jr. to deliver the ‘Play Ball’ announcement for Game 2 of the American League Championship Series between the Houston and the Texas Rangers.
