VIDEO: MLB Game Today Was Being Played In A Massive Snowstorm, And Fans Were Loving Every Second Of It
The first-place Pittsburgh Pirates opened their MLB home season Friday and it was not done in actual baseball weather.
The Pittsburgh Pirates were set to face the Baltimore Orioles in front of a capacity MLB crowd, but it wasn’t going to be an easy game to get through. That is because the weather decided to get crazy on this day and it led to an eye-popping game for fans and the players.
PNC Park was blasted by a snowstorm on Friday.
This was a welcome site for MLB fans and many of them took to X, formerly Twitter, and reacted to the winter wonderland.
As of this writing, the Baltimore Orioles are taking it to the 6-1 Pittsburgh Pirates in front of the snow and their fans as they look to hand them their second loss of this young MLB season.
The Pirates are hoping to have a much better season in 2024 than they had in 2023 when they finished the MLB campaign 10 games under .500 with a 76-8 record. That was a bad enough record to finish in fourth place in the National League Central, 16 games behind the first-place Milwaukee Brewers.
The Orioles, on the other hand, are hoping to have the same if not even better year as they won 101 games last MLB season and finished in first place in the American League East, via Wikipedia.

While the NFL is used to having games being played in bad weather, MLB is not a league that can sustain it at times.
While Major League Baseball’s Opening Day promises an exhilarating start to the season, the Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Mets were forced to reschedule their games for sunnier weather is forecast.
