Randi Martin, Mahomes’ mother, has developed a large following on social media with 180,000 Instagram followers.
She shared a post on Wednesday that left fans concerned with its somber tone in the caption.
“Just really feel like crying…” Martin wrote on Twitter.
“Not my favorite day my heart hurts… tomorrow will be a new brighter day.”

The message got over 200,000 views and fans shared their condolences even though they didn’t know what for.
“Sending hugs to you,” one comment said.
“Hang in there! Take some time for you and forget about the rest of the world for a moment,” another comment said.
“Got a lot to be grateful for, remember that in the hard times,” a third comment said.
“As bad as your day was, you’re still here,” a fourth comment said.
While Martin didn’t reveal the reason for her sad tweet, fans speculated it could be related to her late mother.
Debbie Bates Martin died in April 2023 after battling health issues towards the end of her life.
“If this is in regards to your sweet Momma, I lost my [grandma] and Aunt over 10 [years ago] now and STILL have my crying moments and it’s ok, we will always love and miss them!!” a fan shared.
“I lost my mom to cancer. It has been 22 years now but still feels like yesterday,” another fan said.
“I’m thinking of you on this difficult day,” a third fan said.
Martin is very active on social media, sharing the bright moments with her children and grandchildren, so fans were quick to comfort her on a down day.
