On Thursday, the Kansas City Chiefs were in action against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium in their third and final preseason game. However, neither quarterback Patrick Mahomes nor tight end Travis Kelce suited up to play as the team did not want to risk an injury ahead of their season opener in a fortnight against the Baltimore Ravens.

Despite not playing, the duo are on the sidelines cheering their team on. However, reports claim Kelce planned to skip the game and fly to Chicago to attend the Democratic National Convention. His girlfriend Taylor Swift was also rumored to make an appearance to endorse Democratic Party nominee and Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming Presidential Election.

CBS News Journalist Gayle King reported that the Chiefs tight end reached out to Harris’ campaign team to inform them of his intention to attend the final day of the DNC to throw his support behind the Vice President. Travis Kelce is willing to go to the White House if Donald Trump is elected president

While Kelce is allegedly willing to throw his support behind Harris, he wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to visit the White House if Donald Trump was elected president for the second time.

In an episode of the New Heights podcast in June, the tight end claimed that if the Chiefs won the Super Bowl again next year, he’d accompany his teammates to the White House if the president at the time invited them. He said,

“Any time I get a chance to be recognized by the President of the United States and get to go with my teammates and a group of men and women who I had success with to the point we get acknowledged… I’m doing it every time no matter who’s up there at the helm.”

As willing as Kelce is to help Harris win the election, he seemingly will accept the result even if it goes in Trump’s favor.
