Travis Kelce Thinks NFL Is ‘Overdoing It’ With Taylor Swift Coverage

Make no mistake, the NFL is fully leaning into the Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce storyline. Perhaps a bit too much, Kelce himself conceded this week.

On the Kelce brothers’ “New Heights” podcast, Jason Kelce asked his brother point blank if he felt the NFL was “overdoing” its coverage of Taylor Swift attending his games.

Travis conceded that everyone might be “overwhelmed” and said the networks might need to scale back some things.

“I think it’s fun when they show who all is at the game. I think it brings a little bit more to the atmosphere, brings a little bit more to what you’re watching,” Travis Kelce said. “But at the same time, they’re overdoing it a little bit, especially my situation.”

A fair take from Travis, but the toothpaste is already out of the tube here. Television ratings for Chiefs games have skyrocketed the last two weeks with Taylor in attendance, and even Travis’ own merchandise sales and social media followings have seen an uptick.
