Taylor Swift’s new music video reveals ‘shocking’ details about her Eras tour entrance
During Taylor Swift’s Aug. 20 Eras Tour show in London, she surprised fans by debuting her new music video for “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.” And eagle-eyed Swifties noticed a “shocking” detail about her grand entrance for the shows.
The behind-the-scenes music video, since uploaded to YouTube, offers a behind-the-scenes look at Swift’s wildly popular tour. In it, fans got a glimpse at the pop superstar and her dancers rehearsing for the three-hour show, as well as how Swift pulls off some of her “stunts” and other logistics.
As Swifties already know, the 34-year-old enters the stage area before each show by riding inside a “cleaning cart” that stage crew members wheel out. What fans didn’t realize was that Swift actually sits in the cart instead of standing.
“Shocking revelation reveals Taylor Swift sits down in the cleaning cart!” one fan account declared via X (formerly Twitter), along with a clip from the music video.
The blink-and-you’ll-miss-it snippet showed the “Bejeweled” singer smiling at the camera while sitting in the cramped space before the door shut.
In the comments, some were surprised by the sitting aspect of the cleaning cart, with one person insisting, “I SWEAR SHE USED TO STAND BECAUSE WE COULD SEE HER GLITTER THROUGH THE CRACKS.”
Another simply wrote, “no way😭.”
Still, many others couldn’t imagine the stunt working any other way. “Did we really think our Queen was standing??” one X user commented, while another shared, “I thought this was known the entire time💀.”
“I mean I kinda figured so,” someone else wrote. “I said somewhere at some point crouching for that long would hurt and could probably affect her performance in the first set.”
“Do you think she’s on her phone in there,” a different X user wondered.
Swift will now enjoy a two-month break from her Eras Tour before returning on Oct. 18 for three shows in Miami, Fla. She will then travel to New Orleans and Indianapolis in the U.S. before heading to Toronto and Vancouver in Canada—and finally wrapping up the tour on Dec. 8.
