Taylor Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce is getting backlash for deleting his post about Jesus ‘taking one for the team.
Happy Easter, everyone.
Travis Kelce appears to be a big fan of the holiday. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end tweeted a special shoutout to Jesus
Taylor Swift fans found a bunch of Kelce’s old tweets when the couple started dating. They are unproblematic, though still pretty hilarious.
On Jesus and Easter, he wrote:
“happy easter to all!!! #shoutout to Jesus for takin one for the team…. haha,” the tweet, which has since been deleted, wrote.
Kelce previously responded to his old tweets going viral, calling them “nonsense.”
“What’s hilarious is that nobody followed me back then. I was just using Twitter as like a diary,” Kelce said on his “New Heights” podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce. “I’m just out here just saying nonsense. ‘I just gave a squirrel a piece of bread’ and spelled squirrel like a (expletive). … This is why I don’t tweet anymore because it’s just nonsense.”
Kelce and the Chiefs, meanwhile, are coming off a Super Bowl 58 win over the San Francisco 49ers. He and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, have recently been enjoying some time off from their busy schedules, taking a trip to the Bahamas.
Perhaps Kelce will bring some of the old tweets back…
