With the MLB Opening Day now within touching distance, it seems some heated rivalry has now sparked off between two former teammates. Los Angeles Dodgers’ star Miguel Rojas has blasted Jazz Chisholm Jr. for his comments regarding the Miami Marlins’ locker room atmosphere.

In an appearance at The Pivot podcast, Jazz Chisholm Jr. would go on a fiery rant against the former leaders and veterans of the Miami Marlins. He would claim there was a lack of leadership in the Marlins’ clubhouse.

While Chisholm Jr. did not name any specific person, many believed this was an attack on Rojas. The 35-year-old was described as a leader during his eight-year stint with the Marlins. So, he was unhappy with the words of the Marlins’ second baseman.

Rojas would recently appear at the Chris Rose Rotation podcast. In this appearance he would slam his former teammate and claimed that he will have to learn to respect his veterans.

As a professional, you have to understand that you have to respect everybody that is in that clubhouse... There's rules in place, and someone is gonna keep you accountable.

This words from Rojas has made things interesting. With the Dodgers and the Marlins set to face each other in two series this year, there could be some fireworks as Rojas and Chisholm Jr. take to the field in those games.

Ex-Marlins President shreds Jazz Chisholm Jr. for his controversial words

The words of Jazz Chisholm Jr. last week has become a topic of discussion among fans online. This has also left many irked including David Samson, the former President of the team. He would go on to shred the 26-year-old for his words against the team.

While speaking on the Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz, Samson would call the statement of Chisholm Jr. as “incredibly disingenuous” despite the Marlins star not naming any person in his rant.

Miguel Rojas is one of the best people that I’ve come across. So for him to say that Miguel Rojas is a bad person is incredibly disingenuous... What have you done, Jazz? Nothing. You’re not a team leader.

Samson would even take shots at Chisholm. Jr for being on the cover of MLB The Show 23 and claimed this only happened because of “Uncle Derek” while referring to Derek Jeter. The former New York Yankees captain previously served as the CEO of the Marlins.

Speaking of Samson, he served as the president of the team from 2002 to 2017 and helped the team win the World Series in 2003. He also oversaw the team’s transition from Florida Marlins to the Miami Marlins. He has been known for making such controversial comments and this take from him has once again left the fans debating whether his words were wise or not.
