The Friends star’s death has left fans around the world stunned
MOLLY Hurwitz has spoken out about her ex-fiancée Matthew Perry days after his death.
Matthew and Molly began dating in 2018 and got engaged in November 2020 before calling off the relationship in June 2021.

Molly took to Instagram on Monday to share a picture of Matthew as a silhouette.
She began her lengthy post: “He would love that the world is talking about how talented he was. And he really was very talented.
“As the Friends reunion was approaching, we rewatched the show together. ‘F**k, I was so good!!!…See what I did there?’ We rewound and studied scenes. Our respect and appreciation of humor is something that connected us. Being with him as he rediscovered his brilliance was magical.
“But, I obviously knew that man in a very different way, too. While I loved him deeper than I could comprehend, he was complicated, and he caused pain like I’d never known. No one in my adult life has had a more profound impact on me than Matthew Langford Perry. I have tremendous gratitude for that, for everything I learned from our relationship.”
“I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention Al Anon, an invaluable resource for those who love someone struggling with this destructive disease,” Molly added.
“Matty, I feel relief that you are at peace,” she concluded.
Over the weekend, Molly was spotted out and about in Los Angeles, California walking her dog and hanging out with friends.
Fans flooded Molly’s comment section with positive messages.
“So sorry for your loss. Thinking of you and your loved ones at this time,” one wrote.
A second said: “Sending you so much love, Molly,” and another shared, “Sending you hugs.”
THEIR ROMANCE
The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed their relationship in December 2019, as the pair enjoyed a romantic Christmas together.
On November 26, 2020, the Friends star told People magazine that “I decided to get engaged.
“Luckily, I happened to be dating the greatest woman on the face of the planet at this time.”
But sadly it wasn’t meant to be and on June 1, 2021, Matthew confirmed the news to the same publication, sharing in a statement: “Sometimes things just don’t work out and this is one of them. I wish Molly the best.”
HIS TRAGIC DEATH
Matthew reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest and was unresponsive when found by his assistant in his jacuzzi at 4pm on Saturday.
His staffer made a frantic 911 call and referred to a drowning in the 15-second dispatch audio clip.
Cops confirmed the death was being investigated but no foul play is suspected.
Over the years, the famous actor had been candid about his struggles with drink and drugs, and health problems.
No narcotics were discovered at the scene, but authorities found anti-depressants, anti-anxiety drugs, and a drug for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
On the morning of his death, Matthew had played racquet sport pickleball with a female friend, who revealed the star had felt unwell and “fatigued” for the past week.
