Jenny from the Block is joining the “demure” movement!
Ever since TikToker Jools Lebron detailed how she gets ready for work in a “demure” and “mindful” way, videos imitating the influencer have popped up across social media — and Jennifer Lopez just hopped on the trend.
In a video posted on her TikTok and Instagram accounts on Friday, Aug. 16, the singer and actress, 55, showed her take on being “demure,” all while incorporating her cocktail brand, Delola.
“See how I do this, when I drink from the bottle? Very demure,” she tells the camera before lifting a bottle of Delola L’Orange Spritz daintily to take a small sip. “Very mindful. I don’t just chug it, I just don’t … all the way down,” she continues, motioning as if she was going to take a big gulp.
Rather, she says, she enjoys the beverage in a way that would make Lebron — “Miss Demure” herself — proud. “Little by little,” she tells the camera. “Elegant. Swelling it. Demure. Mindful.”
Lebron shared her response to Lopez’s video on Saturday, Aug. 17, on TikTok, writing, “JLO from the demure block??” over the singer’s clip.
In the video, Lebron’s mouth remains agape, seemingly in shock that Lopez created a “demure” video. “I cant lie as a blonde puerto rican woman this is gagging me,” she wrote in the caption.
Lopez is not the only star who has been leading a “demure” lifestyle as of late. Olivia Rodrigo, Bebe Rexha, SZA, Rumer Willis and Lizzo have participated in the trend, which has even made its way to the White House.
On Aug. 13, Lizzo shared a clip of herself and SZA being very “cutesy” and “demure” on Instagram. Days later, on Aug. 15, Rodrigo shared a backstage TikTok lip-syncing to one of Lebron’s “demure” audios, and the following day, Rexha did the same.

President Joe Biden even hopped on the trend, sharing a “demure” post from the official White House Instagram account.
“Cancelling the student debt of nearly 5 million Americans through various actions. Very mindful. Very demure,” reads the Aug. 16 post.
