Jason Kelce trained with an independent wrestling company ahead of his surprise Wrestlemania appearance last week, new photos show.

Kelce, along with former Eagles teammate Lane Johnson, helped Rey Mysterio and Andrade win in front of an adulating Philadelphia crowd at Lincoln Financial Field.

And prior to that performance, Kelce trained with Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) to prepare for his time in the ring. The company, founded in 1999, is known for its hardcore violence and death matches.

The independent promotion posted a few pictures on X from Kelce’s visit along with a warm caption.

‘We would like to thank Philadelphia icon, JASON KELCE for getting in the ring and training at the CZW dojo prior to his appearance at WrestleMania XL,’ the post read.

He and Lane Johnson wore masks and ambushed Dom Mysterio outside of the ring

‘It was an absolute pleasure to have him at CZW and we look forward to seeing him again soon!’

Kelce, who announced his retirement from the NFL last month, donned an Eagles mask along with Johnson as the pair ambushed Dom Mysterio and stopped him from using a chair against his father, Rey.

From there, Rey landed a double 619 on Dom and his partner Santos Escobar before frog splashing on Escobar to secure the win.

Kelce and Johnson then celebrated the victory in the ring with Rey and Andrade, before removing their Eagles masks.

The Philly pair then stood on the rope and basked in the reception from the hometown crowd.

Afterwards, Jason was even pictured with wrestling great The Rock backstage.

Saturday marked just the second time that WrestleMania had been held in Philly, with the last time coming in 1999 at the First Union Center (now known as the Wells Fargo Center).

In other Kelce news, Jason and his brother Travis welcomed rapper and actor Lil Dicky to their ‘New Heights’ podcast this week – with hilarious results.
