Selena Gomez Reveals She Can’t Stop Listening to This Iconic Taylor Swift Breakup Anthem – Despite Their Tumultuous Past

In a surprising confession, pop superstar Selena Gomez has opened up about her go-to song choice when she needs an emotional pick-me-up – and it just so happens to be one of her ex-best friend Taylor Swift’s biggest hits.

In a recent interview, the “Lose You to Love Me” singer admitted that no matter her mood, she can always be found “blasting” Swift’s 2017 single “Look What You Made Me Do” whenever she needs a cathartic musical release.

“That song just hits differently, you know?” Gomez, 31, told reporters. “It’s the perfect mix of sass and vulnerability. Whenever I need a mood boost, that’s the song I turn to without fail.”

This revelation is particularly noteworthy given the well-documented ups and downs in Gomez and Swift’s friendship over the years. The two pop icons were once inseparable, with Swift even including Gomez in her iconic “Bad Blood” music video in 2015. However, their bond famously fractured in the years that followed, with the nature of their falling out remaining largely a mystery to the public.

Despite the unresolved tension, it seems Gomez has still found solace in her former BFF’s music. “Look What You Made Me Do” – a vengeful, electro-pop track that finds Swift lashing out at an unnamed ex – has clearly struck a chord with the “Only Murders in the Building” star, who has had her fair share of tumultuous romances.

“I think a lot of us can relate to the raw emotions that song taps into,” Gomez mused. “The anger, the hurt, the determination to move on – it’s all there. And sometimes, you just need to scream-sing that at the top of your lungs, you know?”

While Gomez and Swift have kept their current relationship status private, this new revelation has fans hopeful that the one-time best friends may be on the path to reconciliation. After all, what better way to heal old wounds than bonding over their shared love of Swift’s iconic breakup anthems?

In the meantime, Selenators everywhere are no doubt adding “Look What You Made Me Do” to their personal playlists, ready to join Gomez in a cathartic singalong anytime the mood strikes.
