Donna Kelce reveals son Travis experiences imposter syndrome when he meets celebrities

Travis Kelce’s mom, Donna, is sharing new details about her son’s recent encounter with Prince William and his kids, whom he met on girlfriend Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour.”

“He said that was probably one of the coolest things,” Donna Kelce told Extra in an interview published Sept. 26.

“He said that ‘When you meet people like that, you know when the royals come in or Paul McCartney or Hugh Grant or something like that, somebody’s in the suite, you’re just like, ‘Who in this picture doesn’t fit? Why am I here and why am I even allowed to talk to these individuals? It just doesn’t seem right,'” she said, recalling his humble reaction.

“But I think he’s handling it pretty well. He’s a pretty friendly guy,” she added.

On June 22, Swift shared an Instagram photo of herself and Travis Kelce meeting Prince William and his two oldest kids, Prince George, 11, and Princess Charlotte, 9, backstage at her London concert at Wembley Stadium.

In the caption, she gave William a sweet birthday shout-out as he was celebrating his 42nd birthday at the concert.

“Happy Bday M8!” Swift wrote. “London shows are off to a splendid start 🇬🇧🇺🇸🤝.”

After dating Swift, Kelce has met a number of famous people in Hollywood. On the July 3rd episode of his “New Heights” podcast, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end recalled what it was like to meet Julia Roberts and Stevie Nicks at Swift’s “Eras Tour” stop in Ireland.

“Yeah, I met Julia Roberts in Dublin, Ireland,” he said. “That was pretty cool.”

“Her and Stevie Nicks were in there having some fun,” he added.

Travis Kelce noted that he does get imposter syndrome when he’s in a room full of famous people.

“You know, some of these people you meet and you’re like, ‘I don’t know what I’m doing here,’” he said. “You are unbelievable. You’re talent is unbelievable. How you present yourself is unbelievable and I am just a jamoke supporting his girlfriend, and it’s just so much fun.”
