Landon Barker was unaware of the nature of a Sean “Diddy” Combs-themed party he was spotted at earlier this week, a source tells PEOPLE.

After celebrating his 21st birthday with dad Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian at Nobu in Malibu, Calif., photos shared online showed Landon at another venue that same evening, when a party centered around the Bad Boy Records founder, 54, was taking place.

Now, a source tells PEOPLE that Landon did not participate in and was not aware of the event, which had baby oil-themed bottle service, a nod to when law-enforcement officers seized over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant from Combs’ residences during raids earlier this year.

“The content that has surfaced from Wednesday night at Harriet’s Rooftop Lounge is from another individual’s birthday,” the insider says. “Earlier, Landon had a small dinner at Nobu that was hosted by his father and stepmother, who then returned home. Landon and his friends then attended Harriet’s.”

“He, nor ownership, had any knowledge of the theme of the party, nor was he aware that the servers would be presenting bottles of baby oil that night for someone else,” the source adds. “He did not participate in the baby oil service and refused to engage.”

Harriet’s Rooftop did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

A video shared online from the event showed a DJ saying, “We’re getting really freaky tonight. We’re getting Diddy freaky tonight,” referencing the alleged “freak offs” (coerced sex performances) that happened at parties hosted by the rap mogul.

Combs was previously indicted for alleged sex crimes, including sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution, last month.

He pleaded not guilty and currently remains at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
