Adriana Harmeyer returned for the Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions, revealing what her monumental accomplishments really earned her when she left the studio.
The quiz whiz revealed that, when she went back home, she was bestowed a great honor. She told host Ken Jennings on Tuesday’s episode: “Unexpected consequence of a long Jeopardy! run — I was invited to be the Grand Marshall of the Ceredo-Kenova Autumn Fest parade.”
Of course, this came with a few responsibilities, too. Adriana explained that the job required her to “sit in a car while you’re driven through the parade and wave a lot at a lot of people and part way through you forget how to wave.” Ken chuckled and noted that she was a tad overqualified before Adriana went ahead and showed off her parade wave for the audience.
After taking a break from the quizzing, the contestants went back into the challenge where Adriana flexed her talents, going up against Will Wallace and Ryan Manton. The 15-game winner racked up another big accomplishment as she beat out her competitors with a final score of $25,000.

Close being her was Ryan who ended with $22,001. Will, though, ended the game with a level $0 after answering the final clue incorrectly. The Final Jeopardy!, in the category Countries of the World, was “About 80 miles from Vladivostok, its 11-mile land border with Russia is the shortest of that country’s 14 neighbors.” The answer was “North Korea,” but Will answered “Bhutan.”
Adriana is notably a fan favorite on the long-running game show and previously opened up about just how exhausting the show can really be. Adriana previously appeared on the Inside Jeopardy! podcast hosted by Michael Davies and Sarah Foss.
Adriana said: “Everyone who can win multiple episodes is so impressive but I very much remember Ken in his original run and just being amazed every day that he just kept going on.”
Sarah agreed, noting it takes a lot of “stamina” to make it through that many rounds. After all, episodes of Jeopardy! are shot a day, one after the other which took a lot out of Adriana. The superchampion answered: “More than I ever would have imagined coming in.”
