GWEN Stefani and the other coaches on The Voice have been called out for complimenting a contestant after fans hated her performance.

Lila Forde, 24, was on John Legend’s team and became one of the five finalists on season 24 of The Voice.

Each finalist had the opportunity to sing one upbeat song and one ballad in the finale.

During the performance, Lila looked calm, cool, and collected while wearing a brown matching set that showed off some of her skin.

She accessorized with a few pieces of large and chunky dark gold jewelry while standing on stage with a live band.

After her performance, all of the judges praised her, starting with Gwen, 54.

She said: “You know I’m your fan. I think there’s something about you that you have so much confidence but it’s so easy for you.

“Again, adding the audience, adding the love, you just get better and better. You’re just weird enough that I believe you.”

The famous No Doubt singer concluded: “I’m rooting for you.”

Her coach, John, 44, spoke next and said: “You add so much individuality to everything you do, and authenticity to everything you do, musicality to everything you do.

“And you just look so comfortable. Like, you’re in the space where you’re supposed to be.”

DIFFERENT OPINION

Fans on X, formerly known as Twitter, couldn’t have disagreed with the judges more.

“Gwen is babbling. Even more than usual,” one person said.

Another added: “Like, that song choice was terrible and we could barely understand her.

“Like, it’s the finale and this is what you brought to the stage? Yeah, girlie pop ain’t winning.”

A third reacted: “Why do they cut to Gwen when it’s the same opinion every time? ‘I’m such a fan of yours. You grow and grow.’

“Just say, ‘Hey, it wasn’t your best, wasn’t a finale song.’ Pull a Simon [Cowell] on them. They need to hear it.”

Someone else wrote: “I want the coaches to be honest for once! You can encourage, but let’s give some real feedback please!”

“Why doesn’t anyone be honest and say, ‘That was awful, Lila!'” a frustrated viewer shared.

NO MORE TEAM GWEN

During last Tuesday’s live episode, the nine remaining singers dwindled to only five as host Carson Daly, 50, revealed who made it to the end.

Lila, Huntley of Team Niall, Ruby Leigh of Team Reba, Mara Justine of Team Niall, and the fan instant save winner Jacquie Roar of Team Reba have been competing to win the title.

Gwen only had one remaining singer going into the episode, Bias, but he was eliminated.

Many fans shared their opinions regarding the results on X.

“Mac & Nini have to fight for a spot while Ruby made it? I’m convinced this is rigged once again,” one tweeted.

A second wrote: “[At this point] Gwen should quit The Voice already,” and another harsh critic said: “Gwen doesn’t know talent.”

“No way Mac went home. The voice is rigged,” a fourth wrote.

Throughout the season, Gwen put together a talented team of aspiring performers including Bias, Kara Tenae, Tanner Massey, Juliette Ojeda, Calla Prejean, Joslynn Rose, Claire Heilig, Eli Ward, Chechi Sarai, Jenna Marquis, Jason Arcilla, CORii, Rudi, Stee, and Lennon VanderDoes.
