Taylor Swift rushed to take Travis Kelce’s mind off his poor start to the new NFL season as she jetted into Kansas City to enjoy an impromptu reunion – including a date at a Japanese restaurant.
The Chiefs tight end’s lacklustre showings in his first three appearances of the campaign have saw him tally up just eight catches for 69 yards, with zero touchdowns. However, it seems that the 34-year-old is keeping a level head about his struggles, with his world-famous girlfriend helping to keep his mind off matters on the field.
That is according to the Daily Mail, who claim that the couple enjoyed a couple of days together in Missouri after the Chiefs’ recent outing in Atlanta. Kelce put in a largely muted performance versus the Falcons, with four catches for 30 yards en route to the 22-17 win on the road.
Following on from this, it was reported that Swift flew in to Kansas City, as she spent time with her beau at his sprawling $6 million mansion in the area. The couple also enjoyed dinner at the exclusive Noka restaurant, with the pair allegedly “shutting down” the Japanese eatery for the night as they sat down for a romantic meal, as per “Deux Moi” podcast.
After their brief time together, Swift is then claimed to have flown on to Nashville, Tennessee, before making another trip to St. Louis, Missouri, for a relative’s wedding. As for Kelce, it is clear that he is not letting the discourse surrounding his recent form affect him as he keeps an open mind about his performances.
Speaking with brother Jason Kelce on “New Heights”, the younger sibling of the duo admitted: “I’ve had a lot of catches in this league, man. I’m not worried about the catches and the yards, and all of that. I have the most fun when I get the ball thrown my way, I mean, who doesn’t?”

“It has everything to do with execution and just making sure we’re doing everything we can to win these football games, that’s always going to be the goal. I think everyone saw my drop in the fourth quarter and the crucial third down, just trying to do too much before putting the ball away.
“That’s probably the biggest thing for me is making the play in big-time moments like that. I think with how defenses are playing us right now, I’m not really getting a lot of opportunities to make plays down the field, but [I’m] not using that as an excuse.”
Kelce added: “‘Moving forward, still trying to make sure I can help the team out in that regard knowing I’ve been that weapon for us in the past… everyone’s just tweaking their game in the right direction.”
