Being a father is no easy task, and for LeBron James, who spends most of his time on the court, it’s even harder. The Lakers forward is a father of three, but he never lets his professional life interfere with his relationship with his children. With over 19 years of parenting experience, LeBron surely knows how to handle sticky situations, and now he’s passing on that wisdom to his good friend, Cuffs the Legend.
Recently, on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Cuffs the Legend expressed his emotions as his daughter is graduating. He wrote:
“My babygirl graduates from high school today which means I’m one step closer to the empty nest life that most parents dream of. I will be crying TEARS OF JOY today because in a few months, my babygirl will be leaving for college and me and momma flourish can walk around this big crib in our underwear eating fresh cut pineapple.. Moral Of The Story: have kids while you’re YOUNG and never look back!!”
LeBron congratulated him on his daughter’s success, and the duo exchanged more tweets. This led the former Cavs forward to advise him to use some shades in case things get too emotional. While the encounter was comical, the deep sense of fulfillment from both fathers made it special.
This will also be a big month for LeBron James as his eldest son, Bronny, will have his fate sealed in the 2024 NBA Draft. LeBron, though, is also filled with pride as his I Promise School produces a graduate.
LeBron James Congratulates Graduate From I Promise
The LeBron James Family Foundation has been around for two decades to empower underprivileged youths and families in Ohio. In 2011, the foundation started its I Promise Program, which helps kids with scholarships to further their studies. One of the program’s beneficiaries recently graduated from high school, and LeBron James looked on as a proud figure.
Anthony Claytor, 21, recently graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Arts in criminology and justice studies and a minor in sociology. Claytor was one of the third-grade students in the I Promise Program and became the first in his family to graduate.
LeBron James has touched many lives throughout his career and driven them in a positive direction. The LeBron James Family Foundation is one of his endeavors to give back to the society that has shown him love over the years. The four-time NBA Champion has not forgotten his humble beginnings in Akron and is striving to do better to empower his hometown.
