Travis Kelce’s Chiefs Coach Andy Reid Praises Taylor Swift: ‘We Love Having Her a Part of the Family’ “she can attend as many games she want, she’s only made Travis better in every way”

Swift and Kelce went public with their romance in October 2023     Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs coach is full of praise for Taylor Swift. Matt Nagy, who is the offensive coordinator for the Chiefs, revealed to local media outlet KCTV5 in an interview shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) that he loves having Kelce’s pop star girlfriend, 34, as part of the football team. “It’s definitely rare for sure, I mean you’re talking about Taylor Swift and Kelce and Patrick [Mahomes],” Nagy, 45, said. “I know Patrick and Kelce as the people they are away from the different concerts and golf venues etc. I know them on a day to day basis.” He added, “Taylor, I’ve never met. We love having her a part of the family, the team, what she and Kelc have done is a cool story.” “I think it's a credit to both of them to be two big powerful people that are also so humble in what they do and they’re so talented at what they do, whether it’s football or singing,” he continued. “We’re enjoying the journey, we’re proud to be apart of it and we want to keep it going.” It's not the first time a member of the Chiefs coaching staff has heaped praise on the "Fortnight" singer. Ahead of the 2024 Super Bowl in February, head coach Andy Reid spoke to SiriusXM NFL Radio about Swift and Kelce's relationship amid the football season. “Listen, it’s a tribute to how she’s handled it, how Kelce has handled it. It hasn’t been a distraction, so there haven’t been any problems with it,” Reid said in a clip posted on X, (formerly known as Twitter), seemingly referring to the attention the pair's romance has garnered. “She’s a good girl,” Reid, 66, continued, adding, “She loves the game, and obviously loves Kelce. So I’m happy for both of them.” Swift was first spotted attending a Chiefs game in September last year when she showed up to support Kelce, 34, in the team's home game against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium. The musician was also in the crowd for the Chiefs' victory against the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl on Feb. 11. “It was the most thrilling experience,” a source told PEOPLE after the Super Bowl. “She's loved attending all the games, but this was of course on another level,” the insider added. “They partied and celebrated all night. It's been the best few months for them.” Meanwhile, the couple have been spending time together during Kelce’s off-season and Swift’s break from her Eras Tour. Last month, the duo were pictured vacationing in the Bahamas together, while earlier this month, they attended Coachella and were spotted dancing and kissing one another backstage.
