The coaches on The Voice were ready to fight within the first few minutes of the Season 26 premiere but fans were not pleased.

Contestant Jake was the first singer up to impress the four mentors, Gwen Stefani, Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg, and Michael Bublé this season.

Within the first seconds of his performance, Snoop slapped his button, and his fellow coaches quickly followed suit, but Stefani made a bold move against McEntire while she slapped her button.

The No Doubt singer blocked the country star, which meant she was prevented from adding Jake to her team.

Fans on X, formerly Twitter, shared their opinions about the blocking.

One fan questioned: “Who thought of the idea of a block button? as another wrote: “Haven’t watched the voice in years and this block button??? Oh that’s messy.”

Other fans simply couldn’t believe Stefani had blocked McEntire so quickly, with one saying: “gwen blocking reba asap” as another added: “@reba knew @gwenstefani blocked her! #TheVoice.”

Other viewers said: “Gwen already blocking,” “I don’t know if I’d have the stones to block Reba. I’m just sayin” and “Reba just got blocked.”

Yet another laughed: “Gwen’s not playin haha.”

When McEntire explained to the crowd and Jake what Stefani did, the alternative singer got up and her only response was doing push ups on McEntire’s Blocked name.

One fan did not like the move, writing: “Push-ups? Gwen I did not miss you.”

Another joked: “We already have push-ups this season!” as a third said: “Dang, these girls do pushups!”

In the end, Jake didn’t even pick Stefani, so her blocking of McEntire proved useless.

He picked Team Snoop and fans praised him for it.

In return for Jake choosing him, Snoop gifted him a necklace that proved he was Team Snoop.

McEntire is confirmed to not be returning for the show’s 27th season, which is getting a major judges shake-up.

However, she could bring some of the love from her fellow coaches to her new sitcom, Happy’s Place.

McEntire has shared that she has gotten interest from Snoop and Bublé when it comes to her new series.

Admitting to TV Insider that she can easily shoot both shows as they are across a studio lot from one another, the singer admitted she has already approached the others about possibly doing some crossovers on the series.

“In a skinny minute, yes!” she said. “Snoop wants to be on the show. Michael Buble wants to be on the show.”

“Gwen will just come visit, she didn’t say she wanted to be on the show,” she added.

“She’ll want to,” McEntire’s co-star Melissa Peterman joked. “When she comes and hangs out, she’ll want to.”
