Roger Federer‘s recently released documentary continues to grab the attention of tennis fans. While many have binge-watched the epic film, it is time to refill the popcorn buckets. Amid the anticipation of Serena Williams‘ docuseries, ESPN dropped a big surprise. The global media giant shared a short trailer, giving fans a quick shot of adrenaline.

Serena Williams’ journey from an unknown teenager to a figure who inspires enthusiasts across the globe wasn’t easy at all. Her docuseries “In the Arena: Serena Williams” is an attempt powered by Morgan Stanley to give fans a recap of the legendary tale. Even the trailer is enough to give goosebumps to any spectator as it includes snapshots of Serena’s greatest moments on the court.

From her childhood days with her dad and sister Venus Williams to her massive achievements, the trailer packs it all. “I looked different, I played different. I was very emotional. I was better, I was stronger, I had muscle. I was something that no one had ever seen before. Ever,” Serena narrates as moments of her journey take the screen.

Set to start on July 10th, the docuseries will include eight parts that deep cover Serena Williams’ long and successful career. Sponsored by Morgan Stanley, TJ Maxx, and Heineken, this show will aim to highlight the behind-the-scenes truth of Serena’s journey.

On the Tribeca Festival red carpet in New York, Serena indulged in conversation and, therefore, couldn’t hush about the series. “It was every week. And so it was a grind, and it’s really cool to see a different side of — or not a different side, a true side of what happens behind the scenes,” she said.

She also mentioned going through the visual several times, revealing that it is filmed that way. “I’ve seen these episodes – there’s eight episodes in there, in the show, in the docuseries, but I’m just as excited to see them tonight all over again. I’ve seen it I don’t know how many times.”

With the first episode set to release soon enough, fans can expect a detailed look at the life and career of one of the greatest careers that international sports have witnessed. Out of all the aspects packed in the series, Serena Williams dropped hints about one that included her sister Venus.

Serena Williams shares her thoughts on competing with Venus

Serena Williams had a lot to talk about in her upcoming docuseries. In the same interview where she expressed her excitement about all eight episodes, she revealed that one of them contains detailed information on her thoughts about taking the courts against Venus Williams.

I didn’t really like it,” the legend said, revealing how hard it was to go against her sister and friend. Adding more details to her thoughts, she added, “I didn’t like to compete with your best friend. It’s very difficult.” Before Serena marked an end to her career, she appeared in a total of 31 showdowns against Venus Williams. Although she maintained a lead by winning 19 of them, it didn’t really matter because she never enjoyed their clashes.

“You’ll see that in episode two,” she said, dropping a major moment for fans to be on the lookout for. It is just a matter of days and the fans will start receiving back-to-back episodes of Serena’s docuseries. As the waiting period gets more exciting with newer updates and conversations, fans are in for a deeper look into the lives of the Williams sisters.
